Documented Scope

What we offer.

Paediatric services are limited to the scope documented by the hospital. Please call to confirm which clinician is available for your child. Paediatric clinician & schedule to be confirmed

  1. Newborn care

Routine care for babies born at the hospital — initial examination, support with feeding, warmth and hygiene, and guidance for parents before going home.

  2. Specified childhood illnesses

Treatment of the childhood illnesses listed in the hospital’s posted paediatric scope. List to be added from scope notice

  3. Guidance & referral

Where a child’s condition falls outside the hospital’s scope, the family is advised on referral to an appropriately equipped centre.

Know Before You Come

Clear about our limits.

We believe families deserve to know in advance what the hospital can and cannot provide for children.

  • City Care Hospital does not provide a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or paediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
  • Paediatric ventilator support and advanced neonatal surgery are not offered.
  • Advanced paediatric emergency care is not available. There is no on-site ambulance.
  • If your child is seriously unwell — difficulty breathing, fits, unresponsiveness, a bluish colour, or signs of dehydration — dial 108 or go directly to the nearest hospital with paediatric emergency services.
For Parents

Helpful answers.

What happens if my newborn needs intensive care?

The hospital does not have a NICU. If a newborn needs intensive care, the doctor will advise on transfer to an appropriately equipped centre. Discuss this with your obstetrician while planning your delivery.

Which childhood illnesses are treated?

Only those listed in the hospital’s posted paediatric scope. Please call 9623473345 to check before visiting.

What should I bring for my child’s visit?

The child’s vaccination card, any previous prescriptions and reports, a note of symptoms and their duration, and the child’s approximate weight if known.
